The Glass & Architectural Metals Association (GAMA) is comprised predominately of Glass Contractors, their Suppliers and Educators who work in Southern Alberta, and attracts membership right across the western Canadian provinces. The aim of the association is to encourage, promote and support the advancement of the Glass and Architectural Metals industry. Providing a resource for information on safety, training, ethics, special achievements, Alberta Construction Tendering System, social events, and a member directory are all important goals of GAMA.

GAMA continues to support every opportunity of its members to learn and grow by supporting such organizations and events as: the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, the Provincial Glaziers Association of Alberta, trade shows such as Glass Expo (held last year in Calgary), the Calgary Construction Association, and guest speakers at our monthly meetings on various topics of interest to the glazing industry. The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) is a trade association of the Glass Industry that includes among its members, representatives of all four sectors: Flat, Container, Fiber and Specialty. GMIC, incorporated in  September of 1998, is moving forward on a broad front to promote the interests economic growth, and sustainability of the glass industry as a whole. Its formation represents a milestone development for the glass industry. Other industries (steel, aluminum, forest and paper products, etc.) have had organizations that have operated on behalf of the entire industry and have been very effective in consolidating benefits for the industry as a whole. Until the formation of the GMIC, the glass industry has had no «umbrella» body to represent its interests.
